The Leadership pillar includes Speaker Series with senior executives, and employment/professional development of early career professionals.

The Advisory pillar, is aimed at supporting up and coming, and established Entrepreneurs.

– Encourages entrepreneurship among the Muslim student community
– Identifies & supports entrepreneurs with growth potential at an early stage
– Establishes a home for innovators to be able to benefit from MAX expertise

Professional Training

The Board pillar enables Muslim professionals to be trained to effectively and impactfully serve on boards.

THE BOARD PILLAR…
– Enhances awareness level and capacity of the Muslim community to serve through placements on profit
and not-for-profit boards
– Identifies candidates in the community who can be recommended for board opportunities
– Delivers a high-quality professional development program which evolves with each iteration

What have we achieved so far?
In October 2019, MAX Business successfully launched our sold-out kick-off event with our venue sponsor Shopify Inc. with over 150 business professionals in attendance.

MIRN

The MIRN platform provides an opportunity for senior and established professionals and entrepreneurs to connect, and is built on the following foundational principles and objectives:

  • Provide startups with a platform to interact and build relationships that focus on continued professional, entrepreneurial or business growth and development
  • Support and help build an ecosystem centered on financial growth by exposing investors to a diverse set of new investment opportunities, that are founded or led by Muslims
  • Launch the next generation of entrepreneurs through support from those more seasoned

Training for Boards

Training For Boards is a 6 session program that provides practical and pragmatic approaches to advance professionals as board leaders. Each session will include a networking component as well as an opportunity for participants to discuss any relevant Board opportunities. The Training for Boards program aims to:

  • Upskill the Muslim community through high-quality professional development training
  • Equip professionals that aspire to serve on Boards with the tools, knowledge and resources to make real impact for the organizations they serve
  • Foster a network of support among current or future Board members
