In keeping with the overarching vision to elevate the brand of North American Muslims, MAX Women In Leadership is a program with a mission to celebrate, inspire and cultivate leadership excellence in North American-Muslim women. The program focuses on Recognition, Leadership, and Network & Partnerships, thereby connecting and mobilizing Muslim women across North America to institute a strong and sustainable network.
Research indicates that women make up a mere 19.5% of the board members for Canada’s top 500 companies, and only 8.5% of the highest-paid positions in Canada’s top 100 listed companies. On the path towards leadership, women, particularly those of diverse ethnic backgrounds, are often faced with many challenges, such as inadequate access to leadership, networks, mentors and coaches.
