Salma Salman leads TD Bank’s Controller and Chief Accountants’ team of finance professionals responsible for: accounting policy and advisory, subsidiary financials and regulatory reporting, accounting operations and analysis, financial reporting controls, as well as ESG reporting. In her role, she supports the Bank’s Audit Committee and advises businesses across the Bank.

Salma joined TD Bank Group in August 2018 as CFO of TD Banks’s Wealth Management business. In this capacity, Salma was a member of the CAD Retail Leadership team and oversaw the finance function of the Wealth management business.

Prior to joining TD, Salma was a partner with KPMG serving a diverse base of clients in assurance and advisory areas of expertise, including M&A transactions in a number of international jurisdictions. She was also the national leader for KPMG’s IPO services practice.
She also had the opportunity to work in KPMG New York for 2 years. Salma also provided thought leadership through her authorship of several KPMG publications.

Salma also leads the Finance Visible Minority Pillar at TD and continues to be actively involved in various community initiatives.

Mentors

MAX Mentors is a professional mentorship program that connects near-career students with early career mentors and early career professionals with mid-career mentors to catalyze excellence amongst the Canadian Muslim community and help a new generation break glass ceilings.

Women in Leadership

MAX Women In Leadership is a program with a mission to celebrate, inspire and cultivate leadership excellence in Canadian-Muslim women. The program focuses on Recognition, Leadership, and Network & Partnerships, thereby connecting and mobilizing Muslim women across Canada to institute a strong and sustainable network.

MAX Gala

The Annual MAX Gala is an incredible night of celebration that offers a rare glimpse into the skills, talents and cultural strengths of a dynamic community of patriotic Canadian Muslims, whose continued efforts help build a strong workforce, energize the economy, and expand our combined cultural horizons. It represents the culmination of efforts of hundreds of volunteers across a plethora of teams at MAX.
