Zehra Sheerazi
Zehra Sheerazi is a Partner in Torys’ Toronto office. She has deep technical skill, strong cross-border experience, and brings a creative approach to transactions for her clients in private equity and M&A. Zehra holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, and a BComm (With Distinction) from Queen’s University. Zehra’s practice focuses on corporate and securities law with an emphasis on private equity and M&A. She plays a key role in advising and working with public and private companies, financial institutions and pension funds, including TorQuest Partners, Imperial Capital, TMX Group, the Brookfield Group, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and CPP Investments. Zehra advises clients in all aspects of investing and divestiture transactions, including asset and stock transactions, co-investments, shareholders arrangements, joint ventures, majority and minority equity investments and restructurings. Outside her firm commitments, Zehra is an active member of the community with, among others, deep volunteer involvements with the Canadian Mental Health Association, Girl Guides of Canada and Queen’s University.
