In December 2022, Armughan Ahmad was appointed as CEO, President and Managing Director of Appen. In his most recent role as President & Managing Partner, Digital & Innovation at KPMG he led the firm’s digital, technology and innovation focus transforming Financial Services, Healthcare, Technology, Telecom and Public Sector industries.

Armughan has over 25 years of global markets experience in reimagining the relationship between exponential technologies and people to accelerate their ability to take advantage of new business models and market opportunities. By ideating innovation strategies, building industry focused dynamic platforms, delivering intelligent experiences, his team helps clients fuel the rapid ongoing transformation of their business.

Before joining KPMG, Armughan served as the Senior Vice President & General Manager at Dell Technologies, where he led the company’s Global Cloud, Solutions & HPC business across Americas, European and Asian markets. Prior to Dell Technologies, he has held executive positions at Hewlett Packard, 3Com and other fast-growing companies where he worked and led teams in the US, Europe and Asian markets.

Armughan serves on the board of Future Skills Center innovating the future of work with human and technology collaboration. He serves of University of Waterloo’s international advisory board and dean’s advisory board of engineering school, Queens University’s Smith School of business for AI.

Armughan is a passionate co-founder of a non-profit CILAR promoting diversity and inclusion in the rapidly growing innovation economy. He is a passionate promoter of girls’ STEAM education, mental health awareness and homelessness resettlement programs globally.
