Dr. Abdu Sharkawy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and an Infectious Diseases Specialist at the University Health Network. With a career spanning over twenty years, he has been on the front lines working at several inner city hospitals and in some of the poorest slums around the world, while being exposed to HIV-AIDS, Hepatitis, TB, SARS and Measles.
From the outset of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Dr. Sharkawy has been one of the key authorities educating the public about the Covid-19 pandemic on a global stage. He serves as CTV’s lead Infectious Diseases analyst and has appeared on media outlets around the world including BBC News, Al-Jazeera and ABC News.
Dr. Sharkawy has accumulated numerous awards for his teaching, mentorship and career guidance of medical students and resident trainees. He has been involved in numerous charitable and non-governmental organizations including Doctors without Borders, Amnesty International and the United Way and is a passionate advocate for multiple social justice and equity causes.

Dr. Nozhat Choudry is a the Senior Director Global Alliances & External Research at Santen with over 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, and spearheading global product development.
Dr. Choudry initiated the foundation and establishment of the corporate infrastructure of the Medical and Scientific Affairs department at Boehringer Ingelheim. She established & developed the Global Clinical & Regulatory department for a Startup ophthalmology company Occulogix & was one of the founding members of Takeda Canada where she grew the company from 5 to over 100 employees. As medical head of InterMune Canada, a biotech company, she launched a global product, Esbriet, for a rare lung disease, garnering the Prix Galien award for her work.
Dr. Nozhat Choudry also runs workshops to mentor immigrant scientists and mentors young Muslim girls in the field of science. She ran a Muslim volunteer group throughout COVID to provide home cooked meals to seniors in Oakville and is also the founder of “Cooking with Conscience” where she empowers and trains women in war torn areas including Palestine, to run zoom cooking classes.

Dr. Omolade Saliu is an Executive Data Scientist & the Head of Data Science at IBM Canada’s Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Analytics Practice. He leads a team of Data Scientists, Data and Machine Learning Engineers across Canada to deliver innovative and enterprise scale AI solutions.
He has over 20 years of cross-sector consulting and research experience in providing thought leadership and delivering innovative AI & machine Learning and optimization solutions. He leads the IBM’s AI-at-Scale offering development in Canada. Dr. Saliu holds six (6) US patents and has two patents pending resulting from his work on the application of AI/ML to complex industry problems.
He is the author of numerous publications in international journals, conferences, and books and was featured in the Alberta Oil Magazine discussing the application of AI & ML in Energy & Mining. Omolade is an IBM certified Data Scientist Thought Leader.

Faisal Kazi is the President and CEO of Siemens Canada. Mr. Kazi is responsible for leading the overall strategic management, direction and leadership of Siemens activities in Canada.
He is also a board member of multiple Siemens entities including Siemens Healthineers, Siemens Mobility, and Siemens Logistics. The organization has performed very strongly under Faisal Kazi’s leadership, under 190 countries in which Siemens operates, Canada was the winner of the prestigious Werner von Siemens Global Best Country Award. In addition to his role as President & CEO, Mr. Kazi is responsible for the leadership of the Smart Infrastructure business in Canada.
Mr. Kazi joined Siemens in 1990 and has worked in various areas of the Siemens energy, industry, IT and infrastructure businesses in Germany, The Netherlands, Brazil and the United States. In 2011, Mr. Kazi joined Siemens Canada as the regional and sales head of the Transformers business in North and South America and also headed the Siemens Transmission division for North America. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Siemens Transformers Inc. Canada in Quebec and Siemens Transformadores, S.A. de C.V. Guanajuato, Mexico.

Dr. Anas Al-Kassem is a Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgeon at the Ontario Bariatric Clinic. He has been practicing in Ontario, Canada for over 10 years and is currently the Chief of Surgery in two hospitals.
Dr. Al-Kassem has dedicated a significant portion of his time over the last decade to participate in developing and planning for medical relief efforts in the areas of war and conflict across the globe including Syria, Bangladesh and Yemen, recently helping to build the surgical capacity of a main Gaza hospital.
